Vision & Values

At Farncombe Infants, we believe that our vision and values are central to everything that we do at school. As adults, we believe that these vision and values inform our decisions and affirm out commitment to being brave advocates for all the children who cross our paths. For the children in school, the values provide a great model for them to demonstrate what is expected of them both in their learning and through their behaviour.

The vision and values for the school are displayed around the school and provide a focal point for reflection for all pupils and staff. The curriculum is designed to give children a chance to apply these values in their classrooms as well as outside on the playground and in the wider world outside of school.

As a school community, we are committed to living out these values and ensuring that they are not merely words on walls but guiding principles by which we live our lives.

“Whenever we dream about the idea of school, it is not only a place of forgiveness but one of redemption. It is a place where ‘shalom’ is brought into being and where healthy development is allowed to develop. It is where the whole child matters and where every child matters, a place where the curriculum is balanced to the needs of the area and the range of the children, where the school’s systems reflect the kingdom of God in bringing about redemption. So let us imagine a school where love is explicit, where forgiveness operates, where work is balanced with adequate rest and play.”
